The First Release of the ACKS II Foundry Package

It's Time to Turn Your Virtual Tabletop On!

I’m delighted to announce that we have released an updated version of the Adventurer Conqueror King System Foundry module. The new version can be downloaded at https://foundryvtt.com/packages/acks. Here’s the current feature set:

Armor Class (Ascending starting from 0)
Attack throws, saving throws, and proficiency throws
Attributes, class powers, and proficiency modifiers applied to character sheet
Encumbrance rules, including encumbrance bar to reflect speed
Initiative rules, including readying, delaying, and tie-breaking by group size (NEW!)
Morale and Loyalty tracking for Henchmen
Party-based surprise rolls to start encounters (NEW!)
Party-based evasion rolls to end encounters (NEW!)
Tweak section of the character sheet to modify throws, AC, etc for proficiencies or class bonuses
The ACKS Compendium content has the majority of equipment, proficiencies, and spells from the original ACKS Core Book, but has not been updated for ACKS II yet.

The upgraded surprise and initiative system is a thing of beauty - it dynamically calculates individual surprise for every participant based on the encounter; it calculates initiative and tie-breaks by group size; it permits grouping of NPCs for initiative purposes, in any number of groups and sizes; it allows you to track delay, ready, casting, and other conditions; and more.

Would You Watch an “Arbiter of Worlds” Livestream?

At present I run two biweekly ACKS II campaigns, one every other Wednesday and one every other Thursday. This creates an odd “gap” in my evening schedule. I’m contemplating a Livestream (working title: “ACKS Me a Question” or “Well ACKSually”) to occupy the nights I don’t run games.

Late Backing for ACKS II

I have received a number of inquiries as to whether it is possible to become a late backer of ACKS II. The answer is “yes, but not for long.” The opportunity to become a late backer will end on September 9th, 2024.
