Today we unlocked the $30,000 stretch goal for BY THIS AXE: The Cyclopedia of Dwarven Civilization. With two weeks left to go before the end of the campaign, we’re on track to our best-ever RPG Kickstarter! Check it out here if you haven’t already. If you’ve already backed it, thank you!

To celebrate hitting today’s stretch goal, I wanted to share some beautiful images of the book’s layout. Our layout designer, Todd Crapper, has outdone himself with a gorgeous art-deco themed design that makes me ready to delve a mine or wield an axe on sight.

The chapter I’ve chosen to preview is the Introduction, in which we explain how you can use BY THIS AXE with your D20 RPG of choice. It’s the first time I’ve presented a comprehensive summary of the differences between ACKS and other D20 RPGs built from a similar chassis.

I’m really happy with how it’s come together. There’s still a few areas we’ll refine before we go to print, but it’s going to be a gorgeous book.
