Friends, Aurans, Countrymen -
There’s two exciting things happening this March. The first piece of big news is that I’ve integrated DriveThruRPG’s PDF delivery system into the Autarch Emporium. Going forward, anytime you purchase one of our books on the Autarch Emporium, you will automatically have the PDF for the book added to your DriveThruRPG Library. No click, no mess, no wait - it just works!
The other big news is that yours truly will be turning 50 on March 26th. To celebrate this half-centennial of existence, I am declaring the 50 Is the New 30 sale. From now until 11:59PM ET, March 26th, you can get 30% off all orders of $50 or more on the Autarch Emporium by using coupon code “Archon50New30”.
All revenue generated by this sale is being allocated to me personally so I can purchase the necessities I will need to thrive in my 50s. I am told that as a 50-something I must be prepared for a wide list of challenging activities, including “walking with sore feet,” “grilling,” “traveling to Europe,” and “grooming my ear hair.” The list so far is below. Be sure to add suggestions in the Comments — This is actually my first time getting old so I need advice to make sure I don’t screw it up as badly as my 40s.
$10: EZY DOSE AM/PM Pill Organizer
$15: Philips Norelco Nose & Ear Hair Timmer 5000
$20: Physix Gear Compression Socks
$25: ThinOptics Reading Glasses (3 pack)
$30: JanSport Fanny Pack
$35: Flipper Big Button Universal TV Remote
$50: Everlasting Comfort Memory Foam Seat Cushion
$75: Sunbeam Electric Heated Blanket
$100: Weber 3-piece Stainless Steel Grill Tool Set
The Grey Brotherhood Has Returned!
The long-awaited 34th episode of the Grey Brotherhood actual play series dropped on Friday, March 15th. Be sure to watch it, because it’s epic!
The 35th episode is already queued up for March 22nd and the 36th is on track for March 29th. The players are on session 50, so there’s lot’s more to come - we simply fell behind in producing the videos.
ACKS To Grind - GM Judgment Day!
While I’m not streaming an episode of ACKS to Grind tonight, I do have a special edition of ACKS to Grind scheduled for 9PM Eastern on March 31st. I’m calling it GM Judgment Day and it will be feature a panel of gamemasters for a no-holds barred discussion. Confirmed panelists include:
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to join us on the stream with your hardest-hitting toughest-to-tackle questions. “How would you handle…” “What would you do if…”
If you haven’t been watching ACKS To Grind, be sure to check it out. It’s a 90 minute weekly livestream run on my YT channel Arbiter of Worlds. Each week, a guest and I grind through the issues facing our hobby armed only with our wisdom, wits, and proficiency in critical hits.
Are You a Patron of the ACKS Patreon?
If you're interested in "what's next" for ACKS II, members of the Patreon are getting monthly updates and sneak previews from Before All Others: The Cyclopedia of Elven Civilization. One of the best perks of being part of the Patreon is the opportunity to help shape the design process by seeing the earliest drafts. Those who've been with us for the long-term know that Autarch (me, really) listens intently to the community's playtest feedback.
If you've never checked out the ACKS Patreon, you can find it here. The recurring revenue from the Patreon is what sustains the business during the long spells between Kickstarters, especially in 2023-2024 when sales of ACKS I have dried up during the transition to ACKS II. In today's economy, with inflation making every dollar count, I am exceptionally grateful to everyone who chooses to allocate some of it each month to helping keep Autarch in action.
